VEILHORDE — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-30
About this page
This page explains how VEILHORDE, a game by Tagongo Games, handles information, and adds to the general Tagongo Games Privacy Policy (https://tagongo.com/privacy), which also applies. Tagongo Games is the controller of the information described here. Questions and requests: tagongo@gmail.com.
In short
VEILHORDE never asks for your name, e-mail, phone number, contacts, photos or location, and you never create a Tagongo Games account. Online duels use an anonymous player ID and a display name that you choose, which other players can see; there is no chat. The game can offer optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob, shown only if you choose to watch one. Gameplay statistics are counted only on your phone and are not sent to us. Your progress is stored on your phone and, if you choose, in Google Play Games. We do not sell personal information.
Age screen
The first time you open the game it asks for your year of birth. The year stays only on your phone and is never sent to us or to the cloud. If you are younger than the age of digital consent in your country (13 in the United States and several other countries, up to 16 in the European Union), the game runs in a limited mode: online duels and Google Play Games cloud saves are off, no online ID is created, and purchases need an adult to answer a question first.
Online duels — VEIL DUEL (Google Firebase)
If you choose to play VEIL DUEL, the online card duels, the game uses Google Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous player ID (a random code that is not linked to your name, e-mail or Google account) and Google Firebase Realtime Database to run the match. The database receives: the anonymous ID and your display name (the name you choose and can change at any time; your opponents see it, so do not use your real name or contact details); your matchmaking ticket and times; the moves of each round (sealed with a code and revealed afterwards), checksums of the game state to detect cheating, the result, and a connection heartbeat (online / last seen and the game version). Google also processes your IP address and technical connection data to deliver the service. There is no chat and no other user-generated text.
Google Play Games
If you use Google Play Games (only outside the limited mode), Google gives the game your Play Games player ID and display name, and your saved game is stored in your Google account so you can continue on another phone. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
Rewarded ads (Google AdMob)
The game can offer optional rewarded ads: if you choose to watch an ad to get a reward, Google AdMob serves it and may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device information and your interactions with the ad, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent first through Google's User Messaging Platform, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ads privacy; you can also reset your advertising ID or turn off ads personalization in your Android settings. Players in the limited mode only receive non-personalized ads suitable for all ages, and those requests are marked as directed to children so that Google does not use them for personalized advertising. To have an ad ready when you want one, the game loads it in advance, so Google may receive this information even if you do not watch it. Gameplay statistics on your phone
To balance the game, it counts gameplay events (for example levels reached, duels played and shop screens opened) in a file on your phone. These statistics are not sent to us or to anyone else, they are never recorded for players in the limited mode, and "Delete my data" erases them. If we ever want to receive them, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Purchases are made through Google Play; we never see your payment details. We receive and keep on your phone the order number and the products bought, so that we can deliver them exactly once, and the country of your Play Store account, so that we can apply local rules (for example, random packs are not sold for money where that is not allowed). The Google Play Billing library sends technical usage and diagnostic logs to Google.
What stays on your phone
Your progress, cards, settings, display name, year of birth, accepted terms, duel record, replays and gameplay statistics are stored on your phone. Uninstalling the game deletes them from the phone, but not the online data: use "Delete my data" first (see below).
Why we use information and legal bases
To provide the game you asked for — online duels, cloud saves and purchases (performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)); to keep matches fair and the service secure, for example by detecting modified clients through state checksums (our legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)); to show rewarded ads you choose to watch (your consent where the law requires it, for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, art. 6(1)(a); otherwise our legitimate interest in funding a free game); and to keep purchase records where the law requires it (legal obligation, art. 6(1)(c)). The anonymous ID is stored on your phone only because it is strictly necessary for the online service you request. We do not use duel data or statistics for advertising or profiling, and we make no automated decisions with legal effects.
Service providers and international transfers
Google provides Firebase as our data processor under the Google Cloud / Firebase data-processing terms; Google Play, Google Play Games, Google Play Billing and Google AdMob are provided under Google's own terms and privacy policy. The Realtime Database is hosted in the European Union; Google may also process information in other countries, such as the United States, relying on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We do not share information with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long information is kept
Matchmaking tickets expire after 2 minutes, invitations after 10 minutes, and match data after 15 minutes, after which it is removed. The anonymous profile, your display name and its private match codes stay until you delete them with "Delete my data"; anonymous IDs that have not been used online for 12 months are deleted. Information on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the game. Google keeps its own records, including advertising data, according to its policies.
Delete your data
In the game, open Settings → Delete my data and confirm twice. This deletes your anonymous profile, display name and private data in Firebase, deletes the anonymous Firebase account, and deletes the game data and statistics on your phone; the game then starts from zero. If the phone has no connection, the online part is retried the next time. Saved games in Google Play Games are erased from the Play Games app (Settings → Delete Play Games account and data), and advertising data is controlled with your advertising ID in the Android settings. You can also write to tagongo@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data" and we will help you, even if you no longer have the game installed.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or port your information, to restrict or object to its processing, and you can withdraw consent at any time; you can also complain to your data-protection authority. Because the online ID is anonymous, we may need a detail from the game to find your data. We answer within 30 days, free of charge. This includes the rights of the GDPR and UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA (we do not sell personal information or use sensitive information; personalized rewarded ads may count as "sharing", and you can opt out in Settings → Ads privacy or with your advertising ID), Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, Japan's APPI and Korea's PIPA.
Children
VEILHORDE is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not part of Google Play's Families program. It still asks for the year of birth with a neutral age screen: players younger than the age of digital consent in their country play in the limited mode, in which the game does not collect personal information from them — no online ID, no display name, no Google Play Games and no statistics; ads are only non-personalized and marked as directed to children, and purchases are behind an adult question. Parents can also use Google Play's parental controls. Parents or guardians can ask us to review or delete their child's information at tagongo@gmail.com.
Security
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). The database only accepts the actions that the game's rules allow, each player can only write their own data, and match data expires by itself. We will notify authorities and affected people of a serious security incident when the law requires it.
Changes and contact
We may update this page when the game or the law changes; the current version and its date are always here, and important changes will be shown in the game before they apply. Contact: tagongo@gmail.com.
